Young, Black and Gifted - New York Student Earns Honors for Entrepreneurship

Rayneese Primrose was born with astigmatism and low vision. When she was about 11 years old, she noticed that her vision was getting worse. Years later, her doctor told her she could declare herself legally blind without glasses or contact lenses. Still, she did not let this stop her this stop me from doing what she loved, which is drawing and creating artwork. She founded her own company, "With Thy Hands Portraits" and is currently attending Pratt Institute for the Arts in Brooklyn, New York where she majors in Fashion Design.
