Young, Gifted and Black - Richmond Girls Prepare for Conference to Tackle Teen Issues

Portia Carter and the cadre of urban and suburban girls organizing the fourth annual "Girls are Talking" conference do care about is helping youngsters like themselves navigate a tumultuous time in and out of school. Set for Aug. 18-19 at Virginia Commonwealth University's student commons, the event will tackle topics from gangs and violence to finances and relationships.
